Program Details

Target
Unemployed college graduates under  the age of 29 and
unemployed graduates from Meister High Schools
(Newly included starting from January 2025)
Duration
One-year software training program
Curriculum

5 months (coding education) → 1  month (1ˢᵗ job fair) → 5 months (project-based learning) → 1 month (2ⁿᵈ job fair)

Trainees receive a monthly stipend of  1 million KRW, and top performers are given opportunities for participation in domestic conferences.
Employment support activities, including job consulting, recruitment connections, and job fairs, are conducted simultaneously.

    policies for  SSAFY graduates

Drawing on Samsung’s
extensive experience and expertise
in software education, the program offers
high-quality software training and
job placement training to
unemployed youth.

Three students from the Samsung Software Academy For Youth are participating in online training. At the “All in One SSAFY MeetUp” event held in a large lecture hall, students from the Samsung Software Academy For Youth are listening to a presentation. Students from the Samsung Software Academy for Youth are having a conversation with company representatives through its employment consulting program.

In addition to offering employment consulting, company connections, and recruitment events,
SSAFY plans to expand its reach by January 2025 to include graduates of Meister Schools,
further contributing to the reduction of social inequality.

Moreover, SSAFY graduates have established “SSAFY Alumni Network”
where they foster a ‘cycle of giving’ culture by voluntarily participating
in mentorship and skills donation activities to support current trainees.

Since ‘the second foundation’ of Samsung in 1988, the company has recognized
the importance of software competitiveness (Brand, Design, and SW).
Over the past 30 years, it has made relentless efforts to strengthen its software capabilities,
viewing software to be ‘the core of future competitiveness and the key to 21st-century business success’.

Recently, with the advent of the Fourth Industrial Revolution,
Samsung has leveraged its expertise in nurturing software talent to contribute
to national-level software talent development. As part of this effort, Samsung introduced and
has been operating the ‘Samsung Software Academy For Youth(SSAFY)’.
