Since its launched in 2020,
Samsung has continued collaboration with the Blue Tree Foundation,
South Korea’s first NGO dedicated to youth violence prevention.

Established in 1995 by Chairman Kim Jong-ki, who lost his son to school violence, the Blue Tree Foundation was founded with his personal funds to combat school violence.
In collaboration with the foundation, Samsung is leading a long-term, 10-year project (2020–2029) to address the growing issue of cyberbullying among youth, which has become as serious a social problem as physical violence due to advancements in IT devices, online platforms, and social media.

Samsung, in partnership with the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, National Police Agency, Blue Tree Foundation, and Community Chest of Korea, established a six-party agreement.
This extensive network aims to explore effective solutions to cyberbullying by engaging students, teachers, and citizens in collaborative efforts to resolve this issue. (May 2023)
